Today, I shoot my sports photography with Nikon's D300 and D200. The D300 in particular is a fantastic sports camera at a decent price (at least when compared to the professional level very expensive Nikon D3 and the expensive D700, which I've craved until now). The reason I've craved the D700 is mostly due to the very good low light ISO performance of that camera that would benefit my indoor and nighttime sports photography.
With the introduction of Nikon's new D300s, I now have a new feature to consider as essential and new for my sports photography hobby. That new feature is HD video. I'm beginning to think about all of the creative possibilities of combining sports photos with really cool video imagery all accomplished from the same device.
